krohn

In 1865, two youthful Norwegian cousins, Theodor Wiese and Dankert Krohn, laid the foundation for Wiese & Krohn. Over the years, the firm has garnered an exceptional reputation for its aged Ports matured in old casks, especially its 'Colheitas' or single harvest tawnies. It boasts reserves of rare 19th-century wines. Krohn is also acclaimed for its well-structured Vintage Ports, which are primarily sourced from its flagship Douro estate, Quinta do Retiro Novo, located in the Rio Torto Valley.

Pitters

Established in 1920, Pitters has over a century-long commitment to the tradition of crafting Port wines from the indigenous grape varieties of the Douro Valley. The brand William Pitters came into being on January 14, 1920, under the aegis of Émile Greloud & Cie, a prominent Bordeaux trader established in 1887. Greloud commenced the commercialization of Port wines in 1888 under the 'Royal Porto' brand. Alongside 'Royal Porto', their portfolio encompassed brands like 'Royal Madére', 'Royal Malaga', 'Royal Alicante', 'Royal Moscatel', 'Royal Muscat', 'Malaga Royal', and 'Royal Xérès'. These wines were imported to Bordeaux by Émile Greloud and then distributed internationally.
