Vinihold

In 1998, Fernando and Álvaro van Zeller, the 14th uninterrupted generation of a family involved in winemaking and trade, launched a project – VINIHOLD.

Barão de Vilar

Barão de Vilar is a distinguished Port wine brand, established under the expert stewardship of the Vinohold company. The brand derives its rich lineage from the ancient traditions of the Ferreira family, renowned for their exceptional contribution to the Port wine trade over centuries. Vinohold's expert winemakers, leveraging their profound understanding of the Douro Valley's unique terroir, passionately craft Barão de Vilar's Port wines. These wines reflect an exceptional balance of heritage and innovation, resonating with the brand's commitment to producing high-quality, authentic Port wines that enchant both connoisseurs and new enthusiasts alike.

Maynard's premium

Maynard’s is the flagship brand of Fernando and Alvaro Van Zeller’s Vinihold’s company. Named after the first established English Port wine shipper in Oporto, the Maynard’s brand honors the story of the late Walter Maynard, born in 1652, an illustrious ancestor of the van Zeller family through his marriage to Dorothea Augusta Kopke, recorded as one of the first traders to ever export Port wine to England. The brand has a premium positioning evident in every detail, from the selection of wines to the final presentation of the product itself, particularities that make all the difference, the paradigm of a unique product with centuries of tradition.

Menéres

Originally bearing the name of their forebear, Arnaldo Menéres, the Menéres brand is one of the four Port labels created by this independent company, and it was reacquired by the family about a decade ago. The house's specialties are 20 Year Tawny, 40 Year Tawny, and vintage Colheitas. Menéres signifies the family's pinnacle of Port production, presenting wines that personify classic style. We regard Menéres Ports as the world's premier examples in terms of complexity and character per value.

Feuerheerd's

Feuerheerd's, a storied Port wine brand, was established in 1815 by Dietrich Matthias Feuerheerd, a German trader who set up his enterprise in Oporto. He curated and matured the most exceptional blends of Port, exporting them to Northern Europe. Firmly anchored in the history of Porto city (Lourenço Feuerheerd was a co-founder of the city's most distinguished social club, Club Portuense), this brand has in the past been linked to some of the most illustrious families in the Port trade, including Barros (of Barros & Almeida) and the Bergqvists (of Quinta de la Rosa).
