Wine Tasting at Boeira Garden Hotel Porto Gaia, Curio Collection by Hilton

Let’s discover the beauty of Quinta de Boeira, a port wine brand that has a very strong marketing team, with an outstanding winemaker, creating one of the best Tawny port wines from the Douro.

The lodge of the Quinta de Boeira is situated at Vila nova de Gaia at the Boeira Garden Hotel, run by the Hilton. If you are curious and want to book a room, check out the rooms here.

Looking at the glass bottles, you immediately know - this is a high quality premium Port wine, for fine-tasters and port wine lovers.

First of all thank to Jose Nuno Sousa. He made this tasting possible with the help of Helena, the winemaker.

Winemaking

Their current winemaker, Helena Teixeira, is an incredible individual with a remarkable vision for the growth and development of wines. The wines she crafts are of exceptional quality, making each bottle truly special.

Helena holds strong opinions about winemaking and deeply appreciates the perfect balance found in the wines of Quinta de Boeira. These wines boast perfect acidity, especially in their very old vintages, and offer a long and complex finish.

An added perk of enjoying a wine from Quinta de Boeira is the design of their decanters. Even their high-standard olive oil is sold in beautifully designed bottles that are meant to be reused. Simply buy a refill and keep the stylish blue and white ceramic bottle in your kitchen.

Once you’ve finished the wine or olive oil, you won’t want to throw the bottle away. Instead, you’ll want to display it proudly for everyone to see.
