Nestled in the heart of Portugal's Douro Valley, Quinta do Crasto is a beacon of winemaking tradition and innovation. The estate's foundations are steeped in history, dating back to the early 17th century. Today, Quinta do Crasto shines as an epitome of world-class winemaking, crafting wines that vividly express the region's unique terroir and the passion of the people who tend the vineyards. Embracing a legacy of over 400 years, Quinta do Crasto, named after the Latin word 'castrum' referring to a 'Roman fort,' sits on a prime spot in the Douro Demarcated Region. It stretches across approximately 130 hectares, with 74 hectares dedicated to vineyards. The remainder of the land is preserved as a significant area of the Douro, filled with olive trees and a diverse variety of old indigenous grape varieties.
