Quinta dos Avidagos, nestled in the heart of the Douro Valley, is a testament to a family's dedication and deep connection to the land. The first estate has been in the family since 1670, and today, the family owns four quintas, or estates, totaling 80 hectares: Firvida and Além Tanha, Avidagos, Torrão, and Varanda. Traditionally, the grapes were sold to Port Wine houses, but since 1996, the family began experimenting with their own production at Quinta dos Avidagos.
In 1999, a state-of-the-art winery was built, enabling the production of high-quality wines. Simultaneously, the old Port Wine warehouse was remodeled to become the place where the barrels are aged. Today, Quinta dos Avidagos offers a wide range of wines, including Avidagos White, Rosé and Red, Quinta dos Avidagos Reserve White, Rosé and Red, Quinta do Além Tanha Red, and Quinta dos Avidagos Grand Reserve Red. And now, they have added Port Wine to their portfolio.
