Port wine - A vision for the future
For the past 12 years, I have been working closely with various wine producers, people from marketing and sales, and passionate port wine lovers from around the world. We all seem to share a few commonalities, but the most underrated shared interest is rejuvenating the port wine industry and its antiquated image that people have of it. Being able to see the new generations interest and the older generations quality and powers, I believe I am able of brining change and innovation to this slowly decreasing market and by doing so, finding ways of increasing our passion for port wines, both in the older generation as in the new.

Port Wine Cocktails
In this podcast, I also mention the upcoming release of the world’s first port wine cocktail book—The Portologist: Crafting Port Wine Cocktails. While port wine cocktails have been made for centuries, with recipes dating back to the 19th century, cocktails have gained immense popularity today. Port wine brings a complex yet sweet layer to both classic and modern cocktail creations. When most people think of a port wine cocktail, the Portonic often comes to mind—a refreshing and simple drink. But there is an entire world of possibilities waiting to be explored in the realm of port wine cocktails, and this one-of-a-kind book will introduce you to everything you never knew about them. We dive deep into the ingredients from the Douro Valley, explore possible substitutes for port in cocktails—like Quinado and Vermouth—and speak with mixologists from around the world who have crafted award-winning port wine cocktails. Additionally, we delve into other exciting topics and recipes, providing a richer understanding of this exceptional fortified wine.
AR-experiences in the hearth of the Port wine industry-The city of Porto
Another way of the rejuvenation of port wine drinking experience, is by adding technological innovations to the industry. This can be done in many ways but I came up with a new idea that will be completely new to the whole wine industry. I can’t share the details of this experience yet, but I will assure you that it will bring your wine drinking experience to a whole new level. Feeling the wines on your pallet like never before.
